86 240GL front end parts[ALL/1998] posted by Gavin Willhide on

I recently wrecked my 1986 Volvo 240GL wagon. Damage was light but I am having a difficult time locating some parts at an affordable price. If anyone can give advice on finding the following parts it would be appreciated. *I need a hood, passenger headlight and assembly, there is a brace that runs above the front bumper that goes from the left headlight to the right( in the center is a support for the hood latch), the trim that goes on top of this piece, the trim that rounds the driver's corner above the front bumper, the recess sheetmetal the the two headlights are housed in.

my '81 242 DL got whacked across the tail lights. If the parts are interhangable I have a complete front cli[p in good shape. I need to get this thing out of my driveway-- make me an offer.

Gavin,
Try visiting my Parts Source, etc. lists at: http://www.visi.com/~jarrod/volvo/connections.html (see link below).
I recommend Northern European Auto. I had them send me a door for my 142. And it was inexpensive (they charged $75 for the thing).
Also, try Revolvo 1800-revolvo and there is anothe place the name of which I can't remember in Georgia. This last one has absolutely everything, but they cost a little more.
There are many places to try on my list and you should be able to find one near to where you live. You WILL be able to find what you want. I am certain. AND it will be less expensive.
Good luck, -jarrod Absentee Administrator

I have used a place in Massachusetts with great success. They also have a web address:
http://www.bdparts.com
They have a huge inventory of parts, not always the lowest price, but not the highest either. Good Luck.
