Thanks to person who responded to my questions. I still have question. I checked the vent tube and it was disconnected from filler pipe. The tube from filler pipe was intentionally plugged and the other vent from tank was just sitting there. I put hose on the tank vent end and blew it to assure it was open, then connected hose to the filler pipe vent. When I take gas cap off and look in filler pipe, I see the open end of vent tube pointing up from about 6 inches down the pipe. Is this OK? It seems the gas will just run into the vent tube when I fill it. HJ.
