I have a 1990 740 turbo with 16" wheels and 205/55 vr16 tires.. I always have a problem with tire balance... after getting the tires balanced..the tires become unbalanced only after a few hundered miles..the weights fall off..I have gone through 4 sets of tires...is there a way to fix this or is it a flaw of the wheel design?? I only have problems with this car when it comes to tires.. thanks

Manoj,

There is obviously some incompatibility between the balance weights and the wheel. It's hard to tell without seeing your wheels or the type weights the shop used, but you might have them use either a different clip-on weight, or adhesive (stick-on) weights.

If they *are* using adhesive weights and they're falling off, they may need to clean that part of the wheel better to get a good stick.

Or maybe you should try a different shop...

In any case, unbalanced wheels will definitely eat up tires.

I hope this helps, Gary T.
