$100 million lawsuit[ALL/1998] posted by SBA on
Tuesday, 1 April 1997, at 9:42 a.m.

Are any of you aware that there is a NJ company that is suing Volvo for over $100 million for an alleged fraud? The company is alleging that a Volvo subsidiary manufactured recycling machines with a design defect which caused them to catch fire; also, the NJ company was never informed of this defect and previous fires and, after becoming a dealer of this equipment and spending millions of dollars in marketing efforts, Volvo sold the assets of the subsidiary and left the NJ company holding the bag. The US media has already written about this story. Ex-employees have already testified against Volvo in depositions and this case is building rapidly. Volvo has already settled with one of this NJ company's customers who also sued.

The NJ company is demanding PUNITIVE DAMAGES which is unlimited.

If you have any questions or comments, e-mail me.

It is PRECISELY this sort of nonsense that makes America an increasingly difficult place in which to do business. I am a lawyer, but I utterly fail to see how this sort of bullsh** can do anyone any good!!!!

Dear Mr. SBA: Take this crap you're peddling somewhere else! We're NOT interested!!!!!!!!!
